The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) staged an exhibition of original artworks created by young people in Oberstown. The works were on display in IMMA’s Project Spaces at Kilmainham, Dublin, between Tuesday 26 April and Sunday 8 May 2022.

The exhibition, called The Ride Away From The Storm after the title of one of the paintings, was the result of a partnership between Gaisce – The President’s Award, Oberstown, and IMMA. The artworks were made specifically for the exhibition, and the process will fulfil the Community Involvement challenge of the Gaisce Award.

Minister Roderic O’Gorman launched the exhibition at IMMA on Tuesday 26 May 2022. The Irish Times is featuring a video report on the exhibition in the Culture section of its website.
