SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Prior to joining Oberstown Children Detention Campus in December 2013, Pat Bergin worked with the Health Information and Quality Authority monitoring and inspecting children services including residential care, foster care and child protection services as Inspector Manager and Head of Children Services. He was a member of the first team to undertake inspections of child protection services in Ireland. Pat worked in Community Care Services with the Health Services Executive as Child Care Manager and Deputy General Manager. He has extensive knowledge and experience in Children and young people’s residential care services having managed a number of services including High Support Units and Probation Residence in Waterford. Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social care and an Executive Masters in Business Administration.
Deirdre C. Seery
Director Trinity House School, Head of Corporate Services
Deirdre joined Trinity House School in 2000 as Deputy Director and became Director of Trinity House School in 2005. Since January 2014 she joined the Campus Senior Management Team and has held the role of Director of Trinity House School, Head of Corporate Services.
Kate T. Lawler
Deputy Director, Head of Support & Development Services
Kate T. Lawler, who has a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, brings considerable strategic, project management and HR experience with her as part of her commitment to the campus. Her qualifications in the areas of business along with governance and risk contribute to her innate ability to ask the incisive question.
Kate’s portfolio of expertise include Project Management, HR and Performance Management systems and implementation reviews, business change reviews and general corporate governance reviews. She has worked in Ireland, the UK and the United States, leading business change programmes, along with working within day to day business control environments. She has a Degree in Economics and Politics, an MBA and a Professional Diploma in Governance and Risk. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Training and Development.
Deputy Director, Head of Operations
Damien joined Trinity House School in 1991 as a PE Teacher. During the intervening years he worked as a Residential Child Care Worker, Unit Manager and in 2002 became Deputy Director of Trinity House School. He has an extensive knowledge and experience in Children Detention Schools, Since January 2014 he joined the Campus Senior Management Team and has held the role of Deputy Director, Head of Operations. He has been involved in leading a number of projects and developing strategy within the service; with the specific aim of trying to achieve “the right thing to do”.
